The winter months are a great time for landscape pros to work on their businesses instead of in their businesses, and this is true for owners as well as for every team member on the org chart.
I want to be clear: we don't take the winter off. I know many of you reading this in the South work year-round, and many of my fellow Northerners stay busy with snow and ice or with the work we can still do in the winter.
But as the 100 days of victory - the 100 days that lead up to July 4 - approach quickly, I want to encourage you to use the little bit of time left in winter months to get things organized now. Some things we're doing:
Organizing and Rallying the Sales Team
Nothing happens till somebody sells something. Our Grunder Landscaping team is locked and loaded with our overall revenue goals, and each sales professional has a very clear, specific, and public goal placed on them. We're working hard to close our pipeline of work and get our last renewals in. If you need help with this, join us for our Virtual Sales Bootcamp 1.0!
Learning with our ACE Peer Group Members
We are hosting ACE Peer Group members this week to tour Grunder Landscaping Co. and learn from our operation and each other. The GLC team always learns a lot from having visitors in like this because they often ask questions that make us think about the way we're doing things and give suggestions that can help us get better. Site visits are a key part of our ACE Peer Group program. It's successful for a reason! We're adding new ACE Peer Group members in March at our ACE Discovery Meeting. If you are an owner that is looking for a way to cut through the noise and accomplish your goals; there is no better place to start.
Getting Ducks in a Row for Fleet and Training
We're ensuring our fleet, equipment, and team are all in good shape. We're lining up any final winter training and scheduled service, and we're preparing to hit the ground running as soon as the weather really makes a turn in March. We have our training calendar set and are rolling out new training and meeting agendas for the year. GROW! 2025 (which is nearly sold out!) is just a few weeks away and our team will use that as way to kickstart our year to success.
Spring is something to be excited for. Continue to take time to plan and make the most of it when it comes. Have a great week and I will talk to you next week!
