As a facilitator in our ACE Peer Group Program, I get to see up close landscaping companies across the country. I help owners work through the issues they're facing, and I also celebrate their successes alongside them. Through the program, I've gotten to know Jason Cromley, owner at Hidden Creek Landscaping, since he joined our program in March 2021.

We'll bring all of our GROW! 2025 attendees onsite to their operation for a behind-the-scenes (and indoors - don't worry!) tour on February 25, 2025. Knowing Jason and his company so well, there are three things I think every landscaper in attendance will learn from seeing:

1. They're professional landscapers. From the moment you see their property or talk to their team, this will be obvious. This team is full of landscapers who happen to run a business, not a business that happens to do landscaping. They're meticulous and artful in the way they approach each project they do or property they maintain, and it comes from a deep horticultural and design knowledge within their team. You can see their passion for their craft everywhere, but it's especially evident in their designs.

2. Their brand drives success. The Hidden Creek brand and it's reputation in the Columbus market is the backbone of their success, but this isn't just because of a well-designed logo. Their brand is so strong because it's backed up by their operations, where attention to detail, professionalism, and quality craftsmanship are central to their work. Especially at their scale, this is a a truly impressive feat.

3. They're aligned and committed. The dedication, professionalism, and passion of their employees drives the company forward. Their team has clarity in their identity, the kind of work they're capable of, and importantly what work will only distract from their goals. Their self-assuredness allows them to excel in their niche without getting sidetracked by opportunities that don't align with their core competencies.
