The coronavirus pandemic has caused many of us to change the way we do business, at least for the time being. At Grunder Landscaping Co. (GLC), they’re continuing to follow the safety protocols advised by state and local officials, from social distancing to temperature checks and the frequent cleaning of their trucks and workspaces. Unfortunately, they’ve also had to put on hold their monthly cook-outs, their annual team night out at the ballpark, and bringing in doughnuts or homemade cookies for the team.
Safety comes first but, at the same time, it’s never been more important for owners and managers to show their teams their appreciation—you may just need to get a little creative about it. In this week’s Great Idea, Marty Grunder, president and CEO of GLC and The Grow Group, shares a few suggestions for what you can do now to reward hard work and keep morale up:
What are you doing to show your team you appreciate them? Get creative and get on it!
Stay safe and have a great week.
