Welcome to GROW! Month, folks!
GROW! 2025 in Columbus, OH is just 22 days away and we're so excited. Registrations are coming in, and this year's event is shaping up to be our best yet.
At the same time, Grunder Landscaping is working on setting up 2025 and we're staying on top of our tasks and watching our metrics so we don't lose valuable time.
Something I was reminded of this week: it's hard to catch up if your sales numbers lag early in the year. When time is gone, it's gone, especially on maintenance contracts. Even if we pick up a mid-season switch, we'll never get the revenue back for the first few months. Locking in our maintenance renewals and going after new maintenance contracts needs to be happening NOW for our team.
We're carefully watching our pipeline and working really hard to close whatever renewals and sales we can.
When we have metrics to work with like a pipeline and backlog dollars, we can then tailor our actions. At GLC, this week we put a renewed focus on warm calls, networking, and targeting letters and ads to neighborhoods for residential maintenance work. Our metrics are telling us we need to pick up the pace on capturing new business, so that's exactly what we're doing.
Nothing happens until somebody sells something; so go sell!
