Quarter 1 ends soon, and as it approaches we're watching our sales number carefully at Grunder Landscaping Co. (GLC).

We're slightly behind where we'd like to be in sales and while we know we can make up for it with a strong Q2 and Q3, we're setting ourselves up better for the year if we hit our numbers now. We're reminding our sales team of what they can do to lessen this shortfall before the month ends, or jump right in to make up for it in Q2. There's one tip in particular we shared with them that I think every salesperson in America should follow:

Do One More Thing
Our Director of Sales Operations challenged our sales team with this question last week: What's one extra thing you can add to your to-do list today that might generate a sale? It could just take you 5 minutes, but ask yourself this question before you leave the office every day and put in just that little bit of extra effort. Some ideas for "one more things" you can do:

  • Follow-up on an outstanding proposal
  • Check-in with an existing client
  • Reach out to a past prospect - a no last year could be a yes this year!
  • Leave a message for one more lead
  • Set up a networking lunch or meetup

The most successful salespeople are the ones who put in the effort. You don't need to have commission breath, but being reliable and staying in touch help you win in the long run.

Whether your team is kicking butt on sales or dragging a bit behind, join us on April 16-17 for our Virtual Sales Bootcamp. We'll give you more tips like this one so that you can make the most of the season ahead and knock your 2025 goals out of the park. I promise if you join us you'll make more sales this year!
