Great Idea: Add Extra Potential Revenue to Every Proposal

At GROW! 2025, we'll tour Hidden Creek Landscaping and learn from their incredibly talented team. The team behind projects like this one:

Emily and I were fortunate to get a preview of their sessions a couple of weeks ago when we did a practice run with their team. There will be so many great takeaways for teams and Emily and I left that meeting with copious notes.

One relatively simple thing that the Hidden Creek design team shared is an idea I'll be sharing with the team at Grunder Landscaping Co. to see if we could implement, too. On every design project the team works on they always include a proposal for lighting and outdoor speakers, even if the client didn't ask for it.

Creating the proposal for these two add-ons is simple and doesn't take the team very much time to add to the existing plan, and we know that planning for these two upgrades from the start is more cost effective for clients than having to come back in to do it later, especially when hardscaping elements are involved. The designers don't put pressure on the clients to do these extra projects, they simply give them the option.

The worst that happens? The client says no, but thank you for thinking of this. The best that happens? The client says yes, and you've added extra revenue to a project.

It's little things like this that make the Hidden Creek design and sales team so successful in their market, but this is just one of many things their team does to set the company up for success year after year. To learn the rest, you'll have to join us at GROW! 2025 in Columbus, OH on February 24-26. Will I see you there?
