Grunder Landscaping Co. understands what is important for their success. We have a tremendous backlog of work for 2021, more than we’ve ever had, and the most critical tasks right now center around our three goals for 2021: sustainable growth, improving our culture, and reinforcing quality standards. We have new projects and initiatives keeping our team busy this winter, and we’re continuing the work we know we need to do to be successful.

One of those projects that’s always going on in the background of our larger initiatives is our equipment procurement. We are constantly evaluating the equipment we have and any new technologies that come out, and assessing if our needs are changing.

We tried STIHL’s battery-powered equipment for one maintenance crew a couple of years ago, and we’re now transitioning more of our crews to it. We like that the equipment is quieter, lightweight, a little friendlier for the environment, and still powerful enough for the task at-hand. This week look around your own operation: what tools is your team using that might be due for an upgrade to improve productivity or make your company a better place to work? Now is a great time to make changes that will benefit your team when the busy season hits.

We’re looking forward to GROW! 2021, where you’ll be able to see new equipment from our sponsors and also see how Mullin equips their teams for success. Their Izuzu truck setups, the battery-powered STIHL equipment, and everything else they use to do the amazing work they do will be on full display when we tour their operation on February 25. If you aren’t signed up to join us yet, I highly recommend you do. Learn more about what we have planned for GROW! 2021 in New Orleans, I hope to see you there.
