Hiking or Snowshoeing

Hike with your friends and colleagues on one of the local 193 trails, or snowshoe if the weather permits. Meadow Mountain, June Creek, and Berry Creek are all great options, as is the iconic Hanging Lake Hike about 5 miles west. Paragon Guides offers guided hikes and snowshoe tours with advanced notice.

Skiing

Both Arapahoe Basin and Loveland Basin are great places to ski.

Fly-Fishing with Gore Creek Fly Fisherman

Gore Creek Fly Fishermen offer wade and float trips on the Eagle, Colorado, or Roaring Fork Rivers, with breathtaking views, strong wild trout, and expert instruction. Guides will tailor your trip to meet your ability and skill levels. For novices, Gore Creek also offers a free casting clinic every day at 10:30 a.m.

Triple G Outfitters provides beginner and advanced 1.5-hour trail rides that start out low on the ranch and then head off through hay and alfalfa fields and along Muddy Creek, before making their way to the top of the scenic mesa for a spectacular view of the Sawatch Range.

Visit the 10th Mountain Whiskey Tasting Room on Bridge Street.

Local Breweries

Explore the thriving local beer scene with visits to Vail Brewing Company in Eagle-Vail, Crazy Mountain in Edwards, and Bonfire Brewery and 7 Hermits in Eagle.

Betty Ford Alpine Gardens

Although the flowers will not be in bloom at the Betty Ford Alpine Gardens, you can stroll through the grounds and enjoy the indoor education center.

Jeep and ATV Tours

Try climbing the hills in a rugged four-wheel–drive Jeep or ATV with your very own tour guide. Explore old mining towns and high altitude wagon roads at the very heart of the Colorado Rockies that are inaccessible to most vehicles. Most local raft companies, such as Nova Guides, offer Jeep and Hummer tours as well.
