A Mid-Year Check-In

Are You Taking Care of Yourself, too?

Every year around this time I ask you the series of questions below and ask you to think about where your life and business are heading.

Ask yourself these questions and see where you stand:

When was the last time you went to a breakfast or lunch with your top team members and discussed more than work?
When was the last time you personally saw your top 25 clients?
When was the last time you took an afternoon off and just went home to be with your significant other or your family? (If you tell me you don't have time to do this, you don't understand what it takes to be successful.)
When was the last time you asked your team members to refer some of their family and friends to work at your company?
What was the name of the last business book you read?
Who has helped you be successful in the last year? Do they know you feel this way?
Do you weigh more or less than you did a year ago?
When was the last time you went to the doctor for a check-up?

My purpose is to make you think about what it takes to be successful. It's not just one or two things and it's not all about business.

The most successful leaders are the ones that take a holistic approach to success.

So whether you are happy with your responses to these questions or not - take action this week so next Summer, you'd be happy to share your answers with me.

This week I will be at Russell Landscape in Atlanta, GA to visit to their operation on June 6-7 as part of our Field Trip in partnership with NALP.
