This year has been one for the books. It’s like no year we’ve experienced before and we hope to never experience one like this again. But as you heard Marty say many times this year, “hope is not a strategy.”

So instead of hoping, we’re taking action and constantly looking at the positive. This can be challenging, yes, but one thing that we’ve done to help is asking team members to share one positive thing going on in their life at the start of a team meetings.

It’s helped us reframe this year, and articulate what we’re grateful for even when life isn’t going quite according to plan. 2020 has shown us how lucky we are to have things that we’ve taken for granted in years past: our health, our families, good friends, our homes, and our jobs doing what we love.

This week use this simple ritual with your own team and family. Before starting a meeting or a meal, ask each person to share one positive thing that has happened recently.

We see plenty of reasons to believe that 2021 will be a great year for our industry, with one being that we’re still able to hold GROW! 2021 in-person on February 24–26. As we finish the final two weeks of 2020, let’s look for reasons to be grateful and uplift those around us.

From all of us at The Grow Group, we wish you the Merriest of Christmases and the Happiest of Holidays. If there’s anything we can help you with now or in the new year, don’t hesitate to e-mail us at grow@growgroupinc.com.
