Help People to Know, Like, and Trust You

As most of you know, I am a firm believer in the old adage that people do business with people they know, like, and trust. It seems obvious that this is true, but how many of us really keep this top of mind as we try to win at sales and grow our businesses?

This week, Vince and I were in Dallas for a planning meeting with Grow Group executive coaches Jim Cali and Jason New, and we got a chance to drop by Complete Landsculpture while we were there. Founder Chris Strempek and co-owner Gene Freeman have built an amazing company, as those of you who attended GROW! 2016 know. While I was at their facility, I got Gene to take a moment to tell us about the low-cost, high-dividend event they hold every month to drive client engagement:

Know what I love most about this? That Complete Landsculpture clients are bringing their friends to these monthly get-togethers. Think about what that does to grow the company’s prospect pool.

What’s the low-cost, high-dividend action you can take to encourage good prospects and clients to know, like, and trust you? I guarantee you there are relatively simple steps you can take to grow and deepen your network and build your pipeline.

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there, and have a great week!

We’re heading to sunny San Diego August 6–7 for the fourth annual NALP Field Trip with Frank Mariani and Marty. Join us and go behind the scenes of the San Diego branch of LandCare, a national powerhouse with a local focus. This is a rare opportunity to see how a major company that’s figured out operations, training, and culture on a large scale applies that knowledge at a $6M branch and how you can too at your business.
