Whether you’re a business owner bitten by the entrepreneurial bug or a team member looking to move your career forward, staying focused can be a real challenge. It’s great to get excited about all the possibilities you have, but don’t lose sight of what matters most. As my friend Joe Calloway, an accomplished business author and consultant, reminds us here, you’ve got to understand the difference between an opportunity and a distraction:

Are you focused on the right issues in your work? If you’ve spread yourself too thin, what distractions can you let go of?
